The Green River Launch Complex Museum

The Green River Launch Complex Museum is an immersive installation of a fictional museum. Viewers are able to interact with the space as they might with a real museum—by picking up guides, listening to and audio tour, and watching documentaries—while discovering the fictionalized stories disguised as historical accounts.

The Green River Launch Complex Museum was created as the capstone project for my BFA in Art from Brigham Young University and showed publicly in November 2021.

PROJECT GOALS

The Green River Launch Complex Museum is an interactive narrative installation disguised as a museum. As visitors explore and interact with the space, they start to question the objectivity and accuracy of the artefacts and information presented. The installation hinges on subverting what people expect from a space. By initially creating buy-in that this is indeed a history museum, the audience is then surprised by the reveal that they are experiencing a work of fiction.
